Wonder

Free of the burden of the past and unconcerned about the future, the lives of little children are filled with wonder.

As we age, we stop wondering. Then we cease to live; we merely exist. Rarely exploring/wondering, therefore never really living. Our soul shrivels and die long before our bodies do.

Those who wonder live in paradise, the paradise of the mind.

Wondering takes us on a fantastic voyage deep into the soul of Creation. Imagine this, we can travel to any place we desire, meet all sorts of people and creatures and establish relationships with them.

Wonder is everywhere; to experience it, we have to take off time to idle, to daydream and simply be with ourselves.

Wonder is a journey, a search within our minds initiated by something that we experience outside of ourselves. Unfortunately, knowledge is the enemy of Wonder. Once knowledge comes, wonder ceases, because we seem to know more but understand and sense less. It's akin to virginity; you can experience a wonder only once.

One can continue to experience wonders if we desire, but how?

Be it of the physical, intellectual or spiritual kind, 'Wandering facilitates Wondering'.

If we are fortunate, Wonder transcends the mind and touches the soul. Even when we feel sad, Wonder can be a beautiful experience. When we wonder, our true self can connect with Creation.

To be truly happy, never stop wondering. Wondering requires us to be innocent and carefree. Only when we are open can the Divine enter our being.

Wonder is like bouncing on a trampoline. We wander, we experience, we wonder, we discover marvels leading to new wonders, and the process goes on. Then life becomes an adventure.

Wondering needs to happen in phases. Seeking wonder delivers only a headache. It comes to us when we submerge ourselves in the Universe.

It is Wonder that envelopes us in moments of play, idleness or boredom, even work if we relish it. When we are delighted or sad, even when we fail, that is the time we can savour Wonder.

Nature has programmed us for self-preservation. An excess of caution gives rise to fear. Fear also kills wonder.

Too much wonder may be fatal, but the right amount can bring life to a boring existence.
